Parflex Multitube®
Bundles for CEM Analyzing - Meeting new Mercury EPA Regulations

Multitube® bundles consist of many different combination of tubes with  sizes easily identifiable by the color coded jacket for accurate field connections.  Built inside a weather-proof, flame-resistant jacket with a non-hygroscopic glass fiber insulation core, Parker Multitube® bundles can be manufactured in lengths as long as 1,000 feet and to withstand temperatures up to 1000ºF.

Prior to the Parker Multitube® design, the maximum length of a heated bundle was 200 feet.  In order to gas sample in stacks taller than 200 feet, bundles were manually joined and power sources installed through-out the stack  to power  up the element inside the bundle.  With a new power source added every 200 feet, installation was costly and the integrity of the bundle compromised at least 4 times in a 1000 foot stack  by cutting open the bundle to insert the power.  In addition to a cumbersome and time consuming installation, if not sealed properly, exposure to air and elements could alter the internal temperature inside the bundle, making an accurate reading near impossible.
